The Ultimate Book Club Guide
for Jen Craven’s Novels
Hello, Book Clubs! I’m so grateful you’re here.
All of my novels share one thing in common: ordinary people forced into extraordinary situations — where right and wrong blur, choices come at a cost, and the fallout ripples through families and friendships.
If your book club is reading one of my novels, here are 10 discussion questions designed to spark conversation, debate, and maybe even a little soul-searching.

Book Club Discussion Questions
Every character makes choices they later regret. Which decision in the book felt the most “unforgivable” to you? Why?
Do you believe redemption is always possible? Which character in the story most deserves forgiveness — and which does not?
Where do you personally draw the line between right and wrong? Did reading this story shift your perspective at all?
Many of my books feature mothers making controversial decisions. Did you empathize with them, even if you disagreed? Why or why not?
Secrets are at the heart of domestic suspense. Was there a secret in the book you felt was justified in being kept — or should everything always come out?
In what ways did family loyalty or friendship blind characters to the truth? Do you think loyalty can be dangerous?
If you were in the main character’s shoes, what would you have done differently? Do you think you would have survived the story intact?
How do you think societal judgment and “cancel culture” influenced the way the characters behaved? Would they have made the same choices in another era?
Many of the characters are morally gray — not all good, not all bad. Which one did you relate to the most? Which one frustrated you the most?
Imagine an alternate ending: if one choice had been different, how would the ripple effects have changed the story?
